Clearer answers for uncomfortable eyes.
Symvana exists because dry eye is one of the most common reasons people see an eye doctor, and one of the most confusing to research on your own.
Millions of people live with dry, gritty, tired eyes. Most of them start where you probably did: a search, a pharmacy shelf with forty kinds of drops, and a lot of confident advice that doesn’t agree with itself. Blue light glasses, fish oil, drink more water, this drop, that drop.
Some of that advice is well supported. Some of it was tested properly and didn’t hold up. It’s rarely clear which is which, and the treatments that help the most stubborn cases are often never mentioned at all.
Symvana is built to fix that, in three ways.
Evidence grades on everything
Every remedy we discuss carries a grade, from Strong to Weak, based on the published research. Every claim links to its source. When the evidence changes, the grade changes, and we note the date.
Tools that measure
Advice is more useful when it starts with you. Our Dry Eye Profile sorts your symptoms into a likely type. The Blink Test measures how often you blink at a screen. They run on your device, and we never see your camera.
Plain English
We write for people, not for other experts. When a term matters, we explain it. When something isn’t known, we say so.
How Symvana makes money
We earn commissions from some product links, fees from partner clinics that meet our standards, and sponsorships in our newsletter. None of these can buy a recommendation or change a grade. Full disclosure.
Medical review
We’re building a panel of optometrists and ophthalmologists to review our guides. Articles that have been clinically reviewed will name their reviewer and the date. Our editorial standards.
